I'd bet on Stowe having snow more than anything in Quebec. The region where Stowe sits historically gets some of the most snow in the entire North East.

I would avoid southern Vermont for early season. Central and Northern Vermont get way more snow, and Killington has better snowmaking than anyone else in the US (and will be open by Thanksgiving).

Mt Snow may be a bit closer than Okemo and has tons of wide blue trails.

Or instead of Epic you could do the Indy Pass, which is cheaper. I think those mountains tend to be less crowded.

Vermont or Maine is the answer. Stowe for epic. For Icon, Sugarbush or Killington in Vermont, or Sunday River or Sugarloaf in Maine. Or get an Indy Pass and hit up some of the independent resorts like Jay Peak.

OP here. I wish! But five plane tickets and a car rental will add at least $1000 to the trip, and that’s out of the budget. Thanks for all the suggestions so far!


5 plane tickets and a car rental will add closer to $3000, maybe more.
