Except that there is loads of evidence of how damaging it is to force children to write with their non-dominant hands.

The best way to make sure a lefthanded kid has terrible handwriting is to make them write righthanded.

i would. develop both sides of the brain. worked out beautifully for my brother who writes righty and plays (sports) lefty. excelled in both.

What would there be to "correct" about writing left-handed? It's not like that is a wrong way to do it.

No. I have a left handed child and a left handed husband. You should have your kid practice and make sure they are holding their pencil in such a way that they can see the letters. Not completely over the line.
