I happened to be looking out the kitchen window and saw a flash, and thought someone was taking a picture in the dark. Then I heard rumble rumble, and I knew it had been lightning.

I had the same thought! Unexplained cell outage and that weird incredibly loud boom of thunder. It literally shook my house. I’m in Silver Spring.
