Group therapy is a great tool for this. It develops social skills while also supporting the underlying anxiety and depression.

DC is neurotypical but has had a lot of difficulty making/keeping friends due to anxiety/depression. They are working on both the anxiety/depression (meds and therapy) but it also seems clear that they need to work on basic social skills that have atrophied in recent years. Is there such a thing as a "social skills coach" for a neurotypical adult?
