Same. In winter we rotate through sneakers, some fake Uggs, and rain boots -- the rain boots in particular hold up better in wet weather so she has to wear those on wet days so that her sneakers don't get absolutely destroyed.

In the summer it's sneakers and some kind of shoe that can get wet (we've done Keens, fisherman sandals, and those rubber perforated shoes, can't remember what they are called). Summer shoes hold up way better so I'm always delighted when those make it multiple seasons, but her feet grow so fast.

I'd love to be able to get away with a single pair of shoes, but I'd have to replace them every 6 weeks. The sneakers I bought last August only made it to November even get traded out with other shoes.

It's fine. Mine has one or two pairs at a time (not counting specialty stuff like snow boots) because her feet grow fast. We have no need for dress shoes.

cool story bro! mine has like 10 pairs, because we teach him that he needs to dress appropriately for weather and occasion.

I am shocked that the same pair still fits as that was never my experience.
My boys used their sneakers as brakes for their scooters and the toes / soles would fall apart. I had shoe glue to put them back together.
I would always have 2 pairs that I would try to stagger so that in case the shoe went into a large puddle I has some time to deal with drying them out.

You never go anywhere that needs a nicer shoe? Church? Restaurants? Holiday things?

Mine is 10 and only had one pair at a time.

She only wears no-tie lightweight Adidas sneakers. And she seems fine with just the one pair. She's been the same shoe size for like 2 years now. They're dirty as hell but I guess there's no use looking for a problem where there isn't one right. I have tried washing them on the weekends but like what's the point they get dirty again immediately.
(Yes she also has snow boots and flip flops for the pool)
