Do you have the ability to set restrictions on your kid's phones? My understanding is that Apple family plans allow you to control when and what apps are available. So if you could please turn the phone into a brick that would only allow your kids to to call or text you between the school hours that would really help. Thanks.

Rising 6th grade APS family here, from what I can tell it's school dependent but that some schools indeed have no-cell phone policies (my understanding is at Hamm the kids can't have them at all throughout the day, including lunch).
I thought APS implemented a district-wide policy against cell phones being out during class unless being used for specific class needs? Or is that just at high schools? Or am I just wrong?

There’s policy and implementation. Are they pretty strict in taking phones away when out?
Fair question and I don’t know because kid doesn’t go there until next year. But so far everyone has been pretty vocal about the policy, so I’m hopeful.
I am concerned about unfettered access to the ipad and wasting time on that…
