The dates of the meets for PMSL are set the season before. First meet is 6/15 as someone said, and there are 5 consecutive Saturday meets (so until 7/13). Divisionals is on 7/20 and All Stars on 7/27. We will find out which teams are in what Division and who swims who (and where) at the second league meeting, which is usually late April or early May (at least historically that's what's happened).

First you'll need to join the pool if you are not a member. And there may or may not be a waiting list. Some pools are years long. I don't know about Adelphi.

Third, they are an A division team. Usually that means the team is large and has many skilled swimmers. That can be a plus or a minus, depends on your situation.

As with any summer team, (this is not Adelphi specific I don't know how they work) if your kids happen to, in fact, be good swimmers, if you join and then don't contribute (by showing up at most meets and definitely divisional) then you're wasting peoples time. Coaches notably. Average kids, nobody cares, sure meets are not mandatory, its all fun. But skilled swimmers should expect to show up and do their part and go on vacation later.


Division A in princemont doesn’t mean anything. Semi competitive but nothing crazy

Geez, no need to be so schoolmarmish, PP. Hope your kid is able to join and enjoys it, OP. PMSL isn't as competitive as some other summer swim leagues, but we like that they let more kids swim in the A meets on Saturdays, even if that makes the meets a bit longer.

That's an entirely different swim league.

OP, I don't see they PMSL has put up a schedule, but it will likely be similar to others that have- time trials the 10th and A meets starting the week after.
