I don't see a schedule posted yet but am trying to figure out a few weekends away. Is it typically the first Saturday after Memorial Day (which would be June 1 this year), or more like mid-June? and then running all the way through July?
I understand meets are not mandatory but one of my kids has gotten really into swimming and would not want to miss if we don't have to.
First you'll need to join the pool if you are not a member. And there may or may not be a waiting list. Some pools are years long. I don't know about Adelphi.
Second, I heard Adelphi is entirely rebuilding their pool. If so, will it really be open and ready to go this year? Is construction underway/on schedule?
Third, they are an A division team. Usually that means the team is large and has many skilled swimmers. That can be a plus or a minus, depends on your situation.
As with any summer team, (this is not Adelphi specific I don't know how they work) if your kids happen to, in fact, be good swimmers, if you join and then don't contribute (by showing up at most meets and definitely divisional) then you're wasting peoples time. Coaches notably. Average kids, nobody cares, sure meets are not mandatory, its all fun. But skilled swimmers should expect to show up and do their part and go on vacation later.

Thank you so much! I did not think to click on the Handbook pdf.
So would that likely mean time trials June 8th?
