It does 3 cups of white rice in about 15-20 minutes. For brown rice it takes about an hour, but it comes out perfect.
For quinoa it also takes a while, I want to say about 45 minutes, but result is excellent and better than stovetop.
I've also done rice and beans in it, probably also an hour.

Quinoa cooks much faster than rice in mine, like 12-15 mins.

I have the pink and cream Cuckoo. Cuckoo is an excellent Korean brand and I see the model is listed now for around $85.

I’d be careful about the Zojirushis. Most are sprayed with that PFAS/teflon material. I miss the old school rice cookers, with the metal bowls.

I’ve used used something similar to this one. I used it 3-4 times a week. I can make white, brown, sticky, sweet, etc. Mine is 20 years old.

Yup, was about to post this. Works perfectly. You don’t need the fancy, expensive ones that cost 400+. This workhorse right here is all you need.

Mine is old. We are a family of 4 and use it many times a week. only for rice. Have Aroma but it's too big. I'm willing to spend more for a multi-function, smaller option. Ideas?
