In the US soccer is pay to play, clubs and ECNL offer a product or a dream, parents pay for it. Clubs forget $ comes from patents picket, is not that a US agency or a pro club is paying the club to be selective with the pool of players, like it probably happens in Europe.

Where is your expertise coming from to teach your child how to be a music studio engineer just because you've listened to music?

Crazy attracts crazy. In all honesty, those clubs are the ones barely mentioned on here, where not everyone is trying to be on the best possible team in the best possible league. But then on the flipside those clubs also aren’t producing (m)any college athletes or pros.

Unfortunately it seems to come with the territory of hyper-competitiveness and early sports specialization nowadays. It seems to be starting more and more at u9 or even younger.

Stable parents? Stay away from PWSI/VSA/VDA

I'll vote for the one where parents aren't yelling on the sidelines like crazy people, screaming at Refs, joy-sticking their kids, living out coaching fantasies and telling their kids coach where the kid should play or how much.

Speculating on local club mergers at 3am on a weeknight means you are not stable?

I could call out several people that I KNOW post on here frequently and talk badly about clubs and coaches solely because their kids weren’t up to the level of their teams…

Once my kids are done with soccer, I’m going to become a ref!

We all know the answer; what a cesspool this forum and soccer community have become. Sure the divorce rate of these people skyrockets as soon as dd or ds leaves home. Try having some healthy hobbies, lots of miserable people on this board. Real question, what are you going to do when your kid leaves home?
