What happens if you have both and run them at the same time?

Does Montgomery have metal recycling? We drove our old one over Arlington's metal recycling site.

+1

Humidifiers are pretty benign. Nothing to worry about with those.

Dehumidifiers have a refrigeration system with highly pressurized refrigeration gasses and a small amount of oil, both of which need to be removed from the system by qualified technicians with specialized equipment before they can be further dismantled and recycled.

Not sure but DH drove ours to the dump. Where he said he placed it next to a dozen others just like it.

I have 2 humidifiers that no longer work. May I put them in the trash or recycle bin? Or do I need to drive up to the dump? They look like mostly plastic but have an electric cord. I live in Montgomery County. Thanks for any advice.
