Yes, if you have a lot of high-end designer clothes. I sell more mid-range pieces (MOTHER, Veronica Beard, etc) so would never ask someone to come out. They provide a paid shipping label and it's very easy,

I've had trouble selling on Poshmark. I list things, even at prices that are next to nothing, and they just sit there forever. But if your items are the kind of designer stuff that sells easily, you will likely have an easier time of it.

I found using Poshmark -- uploading pictures and filling out the listing info and whatnot -- very easy.

The Real Real is super easy. Yes they take a big cut, but it takes almost no time at all (just have to check their list to make sure they accept what you have). You ship it off and they handle everything - photos, listing, shipping, returns, etc. Once something has sold and passed the 14-day return window, I get the money once a month (either deposited or as a credit, you choose). I have done eBay, ThredUp, Poshmark, and a few others and it is just not worth the time and hassle. If TRR doesn't take an item, I donate it to Goodwill and use the TurboTax deduction tool. Putting in 45 minutes with that tool gets me a pretty hefty deduction every year.

I love shopping TheRealReal but selling seemed to be a bit more of a headache. I believe you have to send it in and they have control over sales and things like that but I'm not entirely sure. With Poshmark, I get a label and drop off at the post office. If it is a luxury item, then it gets sent to HQ to authenticate before sending it to the seller.

On Poshmark, the 20% cut is worth it for the seller protection. After a buyer accepts an item in the 3-day window, the transaction is completely over. For eBay, buyers can dispute an item within 30 days -- maybe even 6 months if they use PayPal still.

Is there an upscale consignment shop near you? It might not get as much money for you, but you'd be able to sell it and not deal with photos, shipping, thinking of descriptions, etc.

How much is your time worth? It might be 2-4 hours of work to list all of that stuff.

In any case, there's no real service that assists with eBay/Poshmark. ChatGPT can help with the descriptions but you still need to measure and take photos.

I have at least 15-20 designer items I would like to sell ranging from $250-$1000. I know the Real Real is the easiest route but they take a hefty cut. Anyone know of someone or a service who can help me photograph and list them on Poshmark or EBay?
