Baseball is political too!
This is hilarious. All of you have been involved in travel sports presumably for decades if your child is considering any of these sports and so you know that making every team throughout their lives has not and never will be a genuine. It’s not like that magically changes in HS (or for the rest of their lives for that matter). I mean, god, what about the children who work their tail off academically and then don’t get into their college of choice because your child happens to be accepted on the colleges soccer team. Life is completely unfair and if you think that YHS is somehow immune wake up. Mostly though they do want to win so they are taking the kids most likely to help them do that. Not always but mostly. So most of the political gripes will boil down to the margins kids who could’ve gone one way or the other. That’s life.
