After? By the time the last kid is off to college people in DC are like 55-65

I’m a woman and my salary was similar before and after kids so I’m not sure his point

The baby years were rough because I did all of the night time wake ups but I'm not sure how to quantify that impact on my work or not.
At the end of the day we have a nice house and enough money (me $190K + her $90K) that I guess it doesn't really matter at the end. I think she is missing out that she doesn't really volunteer at the school, I really enjoy getting to see how my kids interact with their friends in that environment.
