You're thinking of True Detective - the Jodie Foster season is wrapping up this week.

Fargo's most recent season is season 5 - with Jon Hamm, Juno Temple, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dave Foley, Lamorne Morris, David Rysdahl (who I'd never seen before and now am half in love with), Richa Moorjani, Joe Keery

S5 is most recent Fargo, no Jodie Foster

S4 is current True Detective with Jodie Foster (disclaimer, the story wasn’t meant to be TD but HBO told the creator to make it TD for the green light)

I really liked season 2. I was on a plane and it was the first season I watched. That first episode really grabbed me!

I loved the latest season, but Seasons 1 and 2 edge it out slightly for me because of the interconnections and callbacks. For a show that's very oblique and violent, it can also be really poignant. Goodnight, Mrs. Solverson, and all the ships at sea.

Best to worst - 5, 1, 2, 3, 4

Season 5. I loved seasons 1 and 2 while we were watching them - but that was a long time ago. And I don't think anything holds a candle to season 5.

The characters and story just completely gripped me. Juno Temple was devastating.

We are in season 3 now and I’ve enjoyed aspects of all three. Overall, the acting is excellent.

I’ve only watched the last one, season 5, and I loved it. It will be hard to top for me. I love Juno Temple and loved how tough her character was and loved the mother in law being sort of evil but also sort of awesome.

I just started the one with Kirstin Dunst and am a few episodes in.
