Seconding Nora goes off script and Nothing to see here. Both wonderful.
I love Ghosts by Dolly Alderton but it has some more serious themes.
I also liked mother daughter murder night, and the boys by Katie Hafner a lot.

Killers of a Certain Age is a lot of fun
Suburban Dicks - also a lot of fun
Nothing To See Here is more literary than any of these - and also a lot of fun

It is about a woman who is a single mom with a small child. The woman cleans people's homes as a profession. One of her clients dies and leaves the house to her. However, the house also comes with the elderly mom of the client, who has dementia.
The floating Feldmans.
It is about an extended family who all go on a cruise together. Grandparents, adult children and their spouses, and their teenage grandkids.
They are all squabbling and all keeping secrets from each other.
Maybe something by Fannie Flagg? I have enjoyed all of her books.

My small book club was read several heavy books in a row and we need something on the lighter side. It doesn't have to be a comedy. It can be historical fiction, murder mystery, or just something different. Please no romance. And, we've already read Lessons in Chemistry.
