Has anyone in the area had a confirmed case of being affected by this?

SGF does so many cycles, I would think that it would be well known at this point if they were using the affected media.

1. Ask directly, asking for complete copy of notes, asking specfically for what media was used
2. get blown off
3. File internal complaint with clinic
4. get blown off
5. File complaint with government agency that overseas record non-release (Im not in DC so I don't know, maybe HIPAA?)
6. If you get blown off
7. Lawyer

Me again, word of advice, move each of these steps along at 30 days, whatever the legal minimum is. Their initial line of defense is delay, partial release, ignoring, lying, gaslighting etc. Even keeping it moving it could take 6 months! Be aware of your statue of limitations, but theoretically that doesnt start running until you get your records

I would call to speak someone and express concerns regarding the recall and asking what documentation they can provide regarding your culture.

That said, if there was a contamination event, it would be super obvious. I've had it happen with embryonic stem cell research (our mouse cells from the lab were contaminated). We had to throw out all our cultures and work. Bombed the entire lab and restarted.

Contamination came right back. I suspected one of our researchers was desperate to get her professorship at Harvard and didn't destroy like instructed. Still super bitter about it.

The hard part is proving that it was an issue.

I can you right now, if there is a connection your clinic will almost certainly not admit it and you will have to drag it out of them with official complaints. These clinics never give the whole record the first time you ask for it.

Anyone one here has been impacted by the CooperSurgical Contaminated Embryo Culture Media? I can’t get an answer from my clinic (SGF) regarding if they use them as a supplier and if this had any impact on my failed cycle from December 2023!
If anyone has any info about this disaster by Coopersurgical, please share!
