We want to do round but the extendable once lose the look we want.

For folks with round, what do you do when more people are visiting for holidays or a dinner party? Seems like more than 6 people at a 54” wouldn’t work

I use a table cloth.

Ours is a butterfly leaf, so it self-stores under the table which is nice. I wouldn't want to have to keep the leaf elsewhere. But in any event, we keep our leaf in almost all the time.

Neither of my extension tables have seams. When you pull them out there is a seam but it is no big deal. Usually when I use the extension I have a tablecloth so food would not get in the seam.

I'd get an extension table unless you are price sensitive.

We've had two extension tables. Arhaus has one where the extension is on the sides - no seam in middle.

The extension table is seamless. Getting an extra table with a slightly different height and shape is always awkward and uncomfortable.

Team extension table.

We we buying a new dining table and are deciding whether to get an extension table. We use our dining table for every meal- it’s not for special occasions, and would just use the extension 1-2 times a year.

The plus side is having that option. The negative is the line where the table separates can get gross with food, and we can always just get a small table from target for extra seats when we have people over. What’re your thoughts on extension tables?
