I have been taking Mounjaro for 2 months and I lost 15 pounds — 155 to 140. Stopped drinking. Eating less carbs (almost none) and eating less overall. I am worried about muscle mass despite increasing protein. I have a friend who didn’t have these results so maybe it just depends on your own body or maybe I was heavier to start with

No! I actually do not drink alcohol at all (not a new thing, I just don't tolerate alcohol well). I also only drink water and coffee, no sodas or juice. I am still stuck in the same weight and I know my calorie intake is good, around 1k calories a day, because I have been tracking these past few days.

Is that enough calories? Believe it or not, if you starve yourself your body can go into starvation mode and hold on to fat. Are you getting enough protein also?

but reduced inflation generally also comes with weights loss as your body gets rid of the excess liquid.

Inflammation with obesity is chronic inflammation and is different from the rapid and fluid filled swelling of an acute injury.

I think that’s it too. I don’t think it’s woo woo though.

+1
That’s no woo woo. Inflammation can cause swelling of tissues and fat is incredibly, incredibly bioactive. Remove the inflammation, remove some of the size, have healthier fat as you’re losing.

And yes, reducing inflammation is a known effect of the GLP-1 drugs.

I've been on the fence about starting Mounjaro, but if it will help my achy joints on top of other things, I may must take the plunge even if insurance doesn't cover. I'm jealous about the free sample...

For me, it took a while until I started to see the loss. I've heard that you lose fat around internal organs, which is good for you.

How is this possible? I am at 1.5 months and have lost a total of 5lbs, early on. Nothing since but I am also noticeably much thinner, my clothes are a ton looser.
