15 is technically fine. Definitely not weird to tip more. The stylist would welcome that. And good for you bc I was expecting this post to be someone whining about not wanting to pay their stylist! Lol

I would tip her $20. That’s a really good price and she’s been doing your hair for quite a while. A larger tip acknowledges your appreciation.

This is FINE, she was cutting me a discount for a LONG time and I would pay more, that’s how much I like her. I was paying $42 for a cut for a decade. Over the summer she upped it again to $47, and now she’s charging $55. The thing is, I’ve been tipping her $15 since the $42 days. If I tip $15 at $55, that’s still around 28%.

Would you stay at $15 or increase your tip? Maybe to $20? Or would that be too much and make things weird? Just curious what you’d tip for a $55 CUT.

Honestly, that seems like a really good price for a woman’s cut with a stylist you like, and trust. I just went to salon supply store and prices also had increased. 2 toners alone were $45 with a wholesale card.

It wouldn't make it weird but I don't think you need to.

I go every 3 months, give or take. It definitely doesn’t, but I don’t want to make it weird, if that makes sense.

Giving more tip = not weird
Giving more tip + phone number = weird
Giving more tip + phone number + nudes = very weird

Haha I guess you’re right and I’m overthinking this!
