Imagine a teen is very upset due to something legitimately upsetting. You say hi to such a child as they pass by and you know they are upset and why (it has nothing to do with you). They don't turn toward you and keep walking without acknowledging you, upset. Do you 1. think the kid is a horrendous brat 2. are a little offended but sort of get it 3. not sweat it, kid is upset.
