PP's, and tagging onto OP's post, how about those of us w/ wide feet and in need of arch support?

+1. They also have 4E
Another vote for Brooks. I have the Brooks Ghost which is technically a running shoe, but I use them for walking.

New Balance are known for their wide shoes. I am normally a 8.5-9 but I wear a NB 9.5 Wide fresh foam.

Love this thread. I have a wide foot (thanks pregancy) and am recovering from metatarsalgia. So I'm looking for good walking shoes with decent arch support, minimal drop from heel to toe, and great cushioning.
Can't get Hokas (that I can stand the look of) for weeks.
Any suggestions?

Brooks is good for my 9.5 wide.
Where do you need the width? Toe box?

Feet a “wide” for a variety of reasons. Mine are wide such that I need a wider toe box. I’d go to a running store and see what they think, let them order some to try and go from there. It’s worth the money.

I have 10WW feet and find that New Balance works best for the shape of my feet. Brooks works for many but is less good for my feet, but definitely worth a try!
SAS has oxford-type walking shoes in a great range of sizes. They tend to be a bit heavy, though.
Lems also fit me in their widest fit (check their charts) but they are a barefoot-style shoe and have zero support, so I wouldn't recommend them for extensive walking.

I’m a 9W. I also prefer comfy shoes with cushioning. It’s hard to find cute shoes that don’t look orthopedic or geriatric but, in general, I get my shoes at:
New Balance
Clarks
Naturalizer
Rockport
Is there a specific type or style of walking shoe your looking for?

Haartjes. I get a new pair of shoes and sandals each year. I go to Comfort One shoes.
