Agreed, sounds liek alternator. I'd get it done by a mechanic thoough -- hooking up the belt again can be a hassle.

Alternators are easy to replace. You can swap alternators in most front engine transverse mounted 4 cyl engines in about an hour.

My car broke down.
My ABS turned on in my car and the steering wheel froze. DH was driving and turned it off. Now, it makes a weird fast clicking noise when we try to turn it on. It won’t turn on.
