We've gotten calls, emails, packages, etc. Varies by school and year.

As someone who have been through the admissions process, I can tell you that the only way I have received the acceptances news was via Ravenna portal on the announcement date. There was nothing else going on such as mails sent home or phone calls.

Baltimore area independent schools (including Gilman, Loyola, CHC, etc) hand deliver acceptances.

I've seen St Andrews do this in the past - red & white balloons etc.

And in the height of COVID, we saw schools come put up signs in our neighbors' yards. (this included GDS)
