My daughter did the GenHERation and Ethical Business workshops a few years ago at Sidwell Summer - project based, life skills and service hour credits. She really enjoyed it.

You can check if the Kid Museum is running their Community Kids Camp. My DS did it in middle school and they go to a different charity each day.

Summer Leadership Challenge offered by Montgomery County. She will get SSL hours for the two week program.

Any recommendations for good ones? My daughter will be a rising 9th grader and we're in Silver Spring. She's too young for a job and doesn't want to do anything academic, so I'm looking for a way for her to use at least some part of her summer productively.
