My DD started with Levine at 4.5 on Suzuki Violin. I believe their Suzuki programs do take younger kids (starting from group classes). We spent almost half a year observing before committing to full-time. The school encourages you to do that.

We take private music lessons at the DC Levine Campus on Saturday mornings so we see a lot of the little kids there for their tot "First Musical Class." However, they all appear to be under the age 3 and some are even like lap babies/toddlers that are barely walking. I think if I had a 4-5 year old, he or she would feel aged out on that particular class but maybe there are other ones I don't know about for slightly older little kids.

Why? The teachers are not exclusive to campus location.

For the First Musical class? At Strathmore or DC?

I have a 4 year old, about to turn 5 and am considering enrolling her in a class weekly at the Levine Music school, but they won't let me do a trial session. Any insight into what is taught, what is learned and if it's worth the money?
