I have IBS so can go 3-4 days without going #2. Then I have a day of pooping. I can lose 4 lbs on those days. I am so jealous of "regular" people.

3-7 pounds easily! Depending on salt, PMS, hormones, and serious life long constipation.

Maybe 2 lbs at most. 5-6 lb daily fluctuations seem a lot at for 5’3”

Mine fluctuates between 148-152. It's the most when I'm ovulating and the least during my period. I weigh myself pretty much every day, both because I'm a Marine and the number matters, and because I can then catch if I'm hanging out at the top of my swing too many days in a row. Then I know I need to adjust. This method has kept me at a consistent, healthy weight for the past two decades.

Mine will fluctuate 2-3 lbs. There is no one who's weigh is the same every morning.

So much impacts water weight fluctuations- sodium intake, carbs, eating more or less than usual, bowel movements, hormones..

Sounds like water weight. My weight swings a ton (5-10 lb!) over the course of 3-4 weeks. (Not sure how much daily— that much tracking would drive me crazy.) It’s all tied to my cycle. I automatically am up something like 5-7 lb mid-cycle, no matter how or what I eat, and then I drop all of that during and after my period. This has happened more as I’ve gotten older.

This is why I don’t weigh myself any more often than every week or so. It’s kind of interesting to know but in the grand scheme of things, these fluctuations can be normal and don’t tell you all that much in how you are actually gaining/losing/maintaining. Also, you may freak out thinking that you suddenly gained 5lb when it’ll be gone in a week!

I weigh every am (but in PJs), and mine can range 5 lbs. I dont think its that big of a deal, and I tend to look at the overall trend (I'm trying to lose weight).

TMI, but I don't go #2 at the same time, and depending on what meals I ate the day before I could definitely see a fluctuation. Salt, water retention, etc also affects it.

Yes I have swings like this. Almost the exact range too (~125-130). Reading other threads it seems like this is not typical though.

Mine doesn’t except a pound or 2 around my period.

I'm one whose weight is pretty consistent with only small swings of 126-128 lbs. But I don't weigh myself daily or even weekly.

If you're coming who weighs themself every day - what is your range in a week? I'm 5'3 and this week have gone between 131 and 125.4 in the last 7 days. While this week seemed a wider range than normal, a 4lbs swing is common. I always weigh naked in the morning before breakfast. I know water weight can change it but this much? Do you have this big of a varience?

I know the advice is to weigh yourself 1x a week but that throws me off even more b/c I'll feel like I had a great week and all the sudden see I'm 4lbs heavier that week and be meh. Or the reverse. And I don't get at all how some people are like "i weigh exactly 123.5" or whatver, whose weight is that consistent?!
