OP doesn't want to read about other people's wins, she just wants to brag about her own.

I’ve been thinking about getting one of these. Can you tell me how heavy yours is? I’ve read that starting light is the best strategy, but I also want to see results and already weightlift regularly.

10lbs down since Jan 1. Cut back on snacking and wine. Exercising a few times a week. I'm post menopause and packed on a lot of weight during the pandemic, completely gave up any real effort at exercise or diet will power. Seeing a real outcome (on the scale, not obvious to others) is making me more determined to lose the next 20+ that needs to go.

Lots of good wins in here! It is always good to recognize what you have accomplished even if not publicly. I am not a public person, so sharing here makes me write it out.

I myself had a dumb self-inflicted bike wreck in November. The result of that was a severe AC joint separation that likely torn all three sets of tendons attaching my collarbone (I wouldn't look at the diagrams). I wasn't allowed to lift anything with that arm for ~4 weeks. No running. Was able to ride a stationary bike indoor upright.

This past week, I did a swim test and another workout - both 3000+ yards without issue. I also did a bike test on Thursday and totally smoked that compared to the last time I did it. Took one of my road bikes out on Friday because the weather was warm enough. And my running is at least on the level it was in November.

I have a lot of confidence in going under 5 hours in at least one of the half ironman middle distance triathlons I have planned for this year, which is course dependent, but still feels like a good accomplishment. Also thinking I can go 1:25 or below for a stand up half marathon at some point this year.

I won't catch the other guys at the front end of my group (40-44M), but I still feel good about all this. I restarted all this during a fitness/weight loss journey in 2020 (lost ~90-100 lbs. overall), and ran 30 minutes non-stop for the first time in 15 years in July of
2021.

Its amazing what you can accomplish with consistency. I hope everybody else keeps dunking on themselves, since its a competition with yourself anyways!

DP but I assume it’s the opposite of a LOSS.

I've had very poor core strength after diastasis post childbirth. I've added 20 minutes of core exercises to my routine 3x/ week since the winter break. I can do some harder moves now, like V-ups, that I couldn't just 6 weeks ago!

Nice job!!

I got down to a new lowest weight over the weekend, almost 30 lbs down! I know I have at least another 30, maybe more. But I'm happy to finally be seeing some results.

Since quitting alcohol (at Christmas) and cutting back on sugar and bread, I have lost 7 pounds. I have also decreased portion size and drink caffeine on only a couple of days during the week, as I read caffeine increase our stress hormones. I’m doing dumbbell excercise videos on YouTube and walking and running here and there. I feel great!

Good for you! That's great! What kind of exercise did you do?

I'll go first. After losing almost 40 lbs. over a year and taking up regular exercise (5-6 days wk), I am now officially completely off my blood pressure pills! It took a year of hard work to get here, but it was worth it to know that I can do something about a condition I thought I would struggle with for the rest of my life (both parents had high bp). I will have to always monitor my bp just in case it starts to creep up, but for now I am no longer hypertensive. Oh, and my cholesterol numbers are down too! I'm in my early 60s and always assumed that it was inevitable to have rising bp and cholesterol numbers as one aged.

Post about your recent accomplishments, so we can encourage others.
