I second Jacques’ Brasserie- lovely food and atmosphere. Love especially the trout and plum cake.

Trio Grill in Merrifield has a private room that can fit about that many around a large table.

Maggiano’s has some private rooms. We had a family birthday gathering there a few years ago.

Thank you for the suggestions!

I've never heard of Cafe Colline and it looks lovely. Haven't been to 2941 in years so that might be a good option too. I love Nostos but their acoustics are an issue on my older ears (hate to admit it) and I'll check out Joon as well.

I'm planning a bday lunch for a friend and would like to find a cute restaurant with either a private or semi-private space in the Arlington/McLean/Tyons/GF/Vienna/maybe Reston area. I think there will be 20ish guests. I don't go out to eat often and when I do it's just to the same places the kids like to go so I'm way behind on the restaurant scene. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
