“Style of play” both play run run no matter what or who you crash on your way and who gets injured. Works until you face big and more physical players. Call it American football style on full display 😆

+1. The majority of the goals being scored in these games are deflections and 2nd balls off of corners and other set pieces. There is little to no breakdown of the defense…so the score line is little more than a roll of the dice.

Agreed. It's the beautiful game when you watch two technically sound teams match up against each other and you watch them try to problem solve on the field and adjust on the fly. Real style of play is learning all facets of the game, whether its possession and through the middle, or if that's not working then direct balls over the top finding space. It's just a game of space and time at the end of the day, but when you see these teams that just constantly do the same thing over and over again hoping for lucky goals, that's not exciting to watch.

2011 Arlington only won 2-1 but this is also an interesting score. Seem like the VDA has gotten stronger (or Arlington staying the same).

But Arlington won in most age groups.

Par for the course when it comes to Arlington teams. They are strong when they're young but as they age up, other clubs will catch up and they do typically as Arlington teams remain static or regress due to players departing for greener pastures.

Do these clubs compete for players or something? or does someone just want bragging rights.
