Mazdas are generally FAR more fun to drive than any of the mainstream non-luxury brands (Toyota, Honda, the US brands, etc.).
Aside from the Miata, (which is now too heavy and fat for it’s available power) I would not call any of their offerings “fun”.
The rest of their entire line consists of non-hot hatchbacks, AWD wagons and boring sedans.

We've definitely felt like we've gotten our money's worth. We have 120k miles on our 2016 Mazda 3 at the moment. All it has required thus far are routine fluid changes, brakes, and a suspension repair....basically all normal wear and tear stuff. No complaints at all.
