+1. I have two pairs of Madewell loafers and love them. Weren’t bad to break in and I get a lot of compliments when I wear them.

I have two pairs by Margaux - a penny loafer and a classic loafer. I like both; comfortable, sleek, and go with everything.

I would try the Naturalizer. They are consistently one of the most comfortable brands I can find. Ecco or Vionic also both have penny loafers and they tend to be really comfortable as well.

they are but they are weird. They are too high on the side and rub up against that outcropping on the side f the ankle.

I wanted to love my Bass loafers, but IMO they're nowhere as good as they used to be. Maybe if you can get them at an outlet it would be worth it though.

I bought Cole Haan loafers instead, and wish I'd retuned them.

Coach. Their shoes are the most comfy I've ever owned -- my loafers are like slippers. They aren't "penny loafers" in that there is no spot for the penny, though.

I am looking for the preppiest possible penny loafer that is also comfortable/breaks in well. I love the look of the classic Bass ones but have memories of bleeding heels from the 1980s. Open to any price point. Thank you!
