Recent email from club admin, please don't try to sign up for meets on your own. I guess the OP ignored everyone's advice.

I know it seems like when you are super close to cuts that you should just swim those events over and over as often as possible, but it really does work better to just focus on training properly for a qualifier. Almost all the clubs will be swimming a meet in February as their last chance qualifier for the SC champs meets, so that’s the one to focus on training for.

You can but still need an on deck coach to supervise. My d3 college swimmer wanted to swim at futures in Richmond and needed his old club coach to agree to supervise him and he was 20 or 21 at the time.

Curious why you or your swimmer wants to do it?

Technically yes, but you will find out that your swimmer no longer has a team to practice with after the meet.

If you get permission from the meet director and a coach at the meet agrees to be responsible for your kid, then yes. Not many meet directors or coaches will agree to do it.

I’ve seen it where a parent is an official and their kid(s) are allowed to swim, presumably under the host team’s supervision.

Assuming you are a member of USA swimming and pvs. Can you sign up for a meet your team isn't attending?
