I kept the baby and became a Mom at least 5 years before my next friends from college. That relationship we tried to make it work, but he was a really crazy person so I left when our child was 3.5. Absolutely no regrets especially now that I want a child and have lost 6 pregnancies in 3 years.

If you’re “expecting” then congratulations I guess; it suggests you expect a baby to result.

If one of you is pregnant, abortion is a great option. The earlier the better.

If you want to be a mother keep the child you don’t know if that will be your only chance in life. If he doesn’t want you to keep the child then you can come to an agreement with him so that he won’t be have to pay child support and he will never be involved in the child’s life. But don’t take my advice because I am a man and this is your body your choice. I wish you luck though either way.

You don’t say which of you is pregnant. The potential courses of action are very different depending on whether you are the pregnant one or not.

How old are you? Do you have nearby family support?

I could never abort in that situation, but many people obviously would. Your child could also be extremely easily placed via adoption — this is literally most adoptive parents dream scenario (stable, non addict mother who genuinely voluntarily chooses not to parent despite having the means to), if you wanted to go that route. It’s really ultimately how you personally feel about it.

No, it really isn’t because a zygote isn’t a person.

I aborted in a very similar situation. We're both now married to other people with kids of our own. He was a good guy but not the guy (and I think he felt the same about me), and given the option I prefer not to bring a kid into a situation where their parents are not together. We had a medication abortion, and it was not physically or emotionally traumatic.

Literally…what now? We don’t know each other very well, it was an ugly but mutual ‘this isn’t what either of us want’ breakup. But now there’s a kid inbound, confirmed by a doctor.
