Agree, but all 3 of her strokes make the Jr Champs cuts but only 2 of the 3 make the JO cut. I’d prefer not to do both meets but I guess go to Jr Champs to swim the one stroke and JO for the others?
Will the group do one of the more open meets as well? Such as RMSC Spring Finale. Is the coach giving choices?
With limited cuts, depending on group (is this a 9th grader in a HS group or are there a lot of 13-14s?), my experience would be the coach taking kids where they have a full meet. Since the swimmer can only swim their best events at one of the championship meets, they still may be attending two meets.
I have definitely seen going to JOs for the one QT and something Spring Finale as the full end of season meet. If those junior champs cuts also exclude her from events at a meet with "No faster than" times, maybe then it's the three swims at junior champs, and a few more at Spring Finale.
This may also play in (from juniors announcement)... Swimmers must have equaled or bettered the applicable Qualifying Times listed and have not achieved a faster time than the 2024 SC Senior Champ QT
or the 2024 PVS JO 13-14 Qualifying Time.
My youngest is 15+ now, so I'm not looking at these cuts, but this makes it sound like the JO cuts are slightly faster than juniors and your swimmer may be bound by these rules for what can be swam at each meet.
The bottom line for me is your coach will figure this out and give her options if there are any.
