What is this obsession? I found your first post very odd and held my tongue but here you are again. I think you have an issue.

My 20 year old son has his first girlfriend. He doesn’t often ask for advice but her birthday is aproaching and he’s asked if I have any ideas. So, for all of you saying romance isn’t alive among young couples, any suggestions?

Everyone needs romance in their life and most also need committed partners on life's journey.

So if your 20+ year old kid is making a life changing wreck of their lives, you’d say nothing and let it slide.

Nice parent.

Is she picky? I just had coffee with a friend who is worried about her DD's ticking click because she only dates men with similar cultural and religious values AND they best be tall and handsome physicians working in lucrative specialties. No connection is evolving into a serious romance. Mom is recommending considering non surgical physicians, big law attorneys, finance bros and well settled engineers as well to expedite the process.

To be fair her daughter is all that and more in looks and success but clearly too focused on an ideal Hallmark/social influencer level match.

A general discussion on a public forum isn't an individual action. You don't even need to have a single adult child to have an opinion or share an observation.
