35 is just barely AMA, OP. It isn't like you turn 35 and overnight pregnancy becomes super risky. Yes, risk of birth defects and chromosomal abnormalities increase with maternal age, but the increasing risk is minimal at your age. As with pregnancy at any age, you are highly likely to have a healthy baby if you make it through the first trimester.
Talk to your OB or midwife about your concerns.

35 years seems young to me. I was 38 and 39 when my two were born.

I had my one and only at 37. I did the extra testing and my pregnancy was not comfortable (sciatica and HG) but it was a totally healthy pregnancy with a healthy baby at the end.

I just turned 36 and 28 weeks pregnant with twins. Everything looks perfect and the doctors and specialist have no concerns. I had my other 3 kids in my mid 20s and early 30s. I'm sure you will be fine.

Had my first at 40 and my second will be delivered next week when I'm 42. My advice, OP, is that if you're worried, try to learn as much as you can about the pregnancies. I elected for a CVS with both pregnancies so that I could learn by the end of the first trimester if there were any major or any smaller genetic abnormalities. It really provided peace of mind.

What's so shocking? I had my first at 35 and second at 38. Zero issues and both were a week late. With the second I had to do a non stress test.
Just do the bloodwork at 7-8 weeks and the scan at 10. See what they say. If they indicate anything then do further testing.

Your odds of having a healthy baby at 35 are quite high! I had my first at 28, and my second at 37. My first had IUGR, was a preemie, and it was just a really hard pregnancy in general (she is perfectly fine now). In contrast, my second (my AMA pregnancy) had no identified issues, grew fantastically, and I was induced at 39 weeks. Way smoother!

While asking for others experiences is leaning on anecdotal evidence, the actual scientific evidence shows that very likely you will have a healthy baby, especially since you are barely AMA.

Your odds of having a healthy baby are very, very good.

You can't be serious. 35 isn't even old.

Even if the rates of complications increase, the vast majority of babies born to women in their upper 30s are healthy.

I had my 1st at 25 and 2nd at 28. I am shockingly pregnant again at 35! I keep reading about all the increased risks to both me and baby. I guess there's nothing I can really do, but what are my odds of having a healthy baby at 35?
