My bernedoodle is not hyper at all! Likes a few walks or play times a day and then a snoozing most of the day. Very chill. We have three or four other neighbors that also have Bernedoodles and it’s the same thing.

There is NO SUCH THING as a hypoallergenic dog breed.

The protein that is the allergen is in the skin cells, not the hair. A dog that sheds more spread more of that dander around, but lower shedding dogs also have dander and will trigger allergies so beware and don't believe any claims to the contrary as they are FALSE.

If you want a dog with allergic kids, you will have to manage the dander - no dog in the bedroom/on the bed, frequent vacuuming with HEPA filter, air filter units in the house, wash hands immediately after petting dog, etc.


There are ones people react less to. I react to most dogs but our dog is fine. They don't shed at all. The ones with hair don't shed as much. If your kids are truly allergic you shouldn't get a pet. You can go to the allergist and get tested.

If you are looking for a poodle mix, I'd encourage you to keep an eye on any rural/municipal shelters that are accessible to you and consider a young adult/ older puppy. They are usually adopted pretty quickly, but you might get lucky and find a good match.

I thought we learned how terrible this "teeny tiny teacup" idiocy was in the 90s when starlets were walking around with purse dogs and they kept getting accidentally squashed to death.

It's a Havanese World has a poodle mix. She has two boys available.


They are cavapoo's. She was willing to meet us half way (or all the way) - we did the half way so we could each do it in a day.

Lagatto ( Italian water dogs) are also good hypoallergic. Don't have any recommendations but saw one in my vet's office named Enzo! Super adorable.
