Are you in-state or OOS? You mention being an alum, and I wonder if being an OOS legacy child might help your child's chances of getting off the waitlist?

Me again?? No I haven’t posted about UNC before. I am actually a UNC alum and the CS program recently revised admission requirements- you apply to be a CS major Spring semester and it is no where near guaranteed you will be accepting into the program. You write an essay and your application is “holistically reviewed” so much like applying to college all over again. I wouldn’t wager a bet on that.

Duke Mom? UNC is going to kick your ass this week.

Dream on. Love the delusional aspect of UNC fans -- must be something in the Chapel Hill water.

Please also ensure we have your most updated grades, which you can upload in MyCarolina. If your school year ends before we notify you of your final decision, please arrange to have your school send us your official final transcript. Beyond these updated and/or final grades, we do not recommend that you send additional materials.

If UNC is your first choice and your child will definitely go if admitted, send a letter telling them that and have your school's college advisor do the same.
Maybe a change of attitude would help.
How change of attitude will help?? What attitude are you talking about here?
