Yup, this.

Your kid's interview experience is very much at the whim of whatever random alum they are assigned to. Don't read anything into it. DH and I are convinced our input doesn't affected admission decisions; the only exception would be a train wreck interview, but that's a real rarity. We've interviewed for two different T5 schools.

The Harvard interviewer has more confidence in their interview skills/ability to talk to you for longer.

It's not about you and is not a reflection on how much/little each school likes you.

They can go longer or shorter.

My kid has had 4 interviews.

40-60 min have been about the length. Including Princeton.

1 was virtual. The other 3 in person.
