OP here. Thanks all. I got two email accounts and applied on Friday. And both of them got conditional approval this morning. Pleasantly surprised how quick it was....I had to wait for 11 months before I got mine.

The easy solution is you open up email accounts for your children.

Both my children have global entry, love it!

Commenting late but I have 4 kids and used work email address from my husband and me to register them. I realized when I just renewed ours that my GE is registered under a work email I no longer have access to as I don’t work there. Still had no problem logging into TTP and renewing. But yeah, in hindsight I should’ve created an email address for each kid.

Your kids will need an email address going forward. I snagged an email address for my kids early on so it would have their name in it and not a bunch of numbers and a variation of their name.

Reading is fundamental.

It's in the OP! The system doesn't allow multiple accounts to share the same email address. If you already have GE with your email, it won't allow to use the same email address for another account (like for your kid).

Just create Gmail accounts for them and be done. Then the accounts will be in place for other instances when required going forward.

Did the same and worked perfectly. Will say it's a bit comical that this works, when this Gmail functionality is very publicly known. Login.gov shouldn't allow you to do this (it would be very very easy to program the system to reject this sort of thing) if the goal is for each participant to have their own truly separate email address. Makes you think that they likely know about it, and are fine with it specifically because of the issues around little kids and email addresses. They do let you use the same phone number for multiple accounts (for text 2 factor authentication).

PP, and I will add: IT IS 1000000% worth it to get GE for kids. We breezed through global entry coming back from a trip a few weeks ago and the line for everyone else was over an hour.

Gmail doesn’t care if you add periods to an email address— emails to “johnsmith” and “john.smith” will get to the same in box so sometimes I have done that.

You need an email for each child. If you don’t already have one, create it bc you’ll need it for many things

I created a gmail account for each child.
