Is it just outgoing people itching to strike up a chat?

I would pretend I was Helen Keller —deaf, dumb and blind on a moody day. On a regular day I might tell them.

Geez, he was just being friendly and maybe wanted to run with you.

What does a stranger want or need to know how far you ran and at what clip? I would literally never ask some totally random person that.

Disagree. Either it's a guy trying to hit on you or a guy that is threatened by you doing better than him or an old lech.

Then just keep walking, I don’t know what to tell you. You’re not going to stop the men from asking, but you can decide how you will respond.

Q1: “How far did ya run?” Weird, but okay, I guess.

Q2: “At what pace?” Getting borderline creepy.

I think it’s just conversation. I’m a runner and I enjoy talking to other runners about mileage, pace, type of shoes, etc.
