PP- I'll add $500/night in London close-in will be tough if you want AC (and judging by the last couple summers you'll want it).

We stayed in an Airbnb in South Kensington with a/c for $150/night. We didn't end up needing it though.

That is a ridiculously low price. That is nowhere near the market price now for 2+ BR places anywhere within central London. Anything 2BR+ around $350/night (with taxes/fees) is to be expected.

Also, can anyone recommend neighborhoods/areas that are good for both safety and basic tourist/transit convenience? 2 adults/2 teens hoping to spend $400/night, absolute max $500. We are not traveling until 2025, just wanting to do initial research and get a lay of the land.

Thanks in advance.

Kid and Coe. It's for families.

We've used airbnb and Sonder in London. Also Citadine in Paris.

I did use AirNnB in both cities. I look for listings that claim they are officially registered. And lots of reviews.

At your price point you could probably look at official apartment hotel chains in Paris.

I have never used VRBO. I distrust their refund policies. AirBnB fully refunded us when the pandemic hit and we had to cancel a Paris apartment stay.

What websites have people had luck with for this? Also, are vacation rentals allowed - I wouldn't want to do anything in legal gray area.
