According to Google results, DC’s homicide clearance rate is at a 15 year low, around 40% whereas the national rate is around 50%.

Clearing crimes, especially homicides, is about community relations. Police/public relations have been more strained than usual in recent years.

Am I the only one who thinks there have been more unsolved homicides since the start of the pandemic. And it’s not just trouble makers murdering other trouble makers. These murders have involved educated professionals, civilians, the elderly and the young. Are people afraid to come forward or are the perpetrators really that hard to lock down.
