This one: Thank you; I’ve enjoyed my six months so far and look forward to a great 202.4

Thank them for the pay cut as your wages have decreased in real dollars from when you were hired.

Did it come from your boss or HR?

If it came from your boss then respond. 'I wasn't expecting that thank you. I was under the impression there wouldn't be raises until 2025.'

If it came from HR it's fairly standardized, so don't respond.

I was notified by email that I got a raise today. It was embarrassingly low — a 1.5% increase — and I don’t know how to react. I was not expecting a raise because I came in at a senior position six months ago and it was made clear there would be no raises till 2025 for everyone. I was ok with that but the year ended better than expected it seems. I am not complaining about a raise but what should I say? Thank you? Ignore it? Thank you; I’ve enjoyed my six months so far and look forward to a great 2024?

My initial instinct was to ignore it but, on second thought, maybe I need to acknowledge it somehow, show appreciation and keep pushing through.
