Kids off to college, so we go through it a lot less. We keep a sliced loaf in the freezer

In a gallon ziplock bag in the freezer. Growing up, bread was kept in the refrigerator, but as an adult in my home it takes a lot longer to get through an entire package of bread.

We go through a lot of bread and I just keep it on the counter.

It's alarming how long it can last before it gets moldy.

Freezer.

We also have a bread drawer. Never freeze or refrigerate bread.

Fridge. Prevents mold.

Refrigerator for basic loaves of bread. We don’t use it fast enough before it goes moldy, otherwise.

If I buy something like hamburger buns or a fresh loaf of bread to be used in the next day or two then it sits on the counter.

Plastic bag on the counter for ~2 days (i never put out more than we can eat in two days); plastic bag in freezer for the rest. I dream of a day when I have a big enough pantry to have a bread box there.

Bread box. (But we store ours on the counter, I've given up on clutter.)

I know that the best way to keep bread fresh is to store it on the counter. But I have a small kitchen and having a loaf of bread, a bag of buns and a package of tortillas piled on the counter looks very cluttered and really eats at my nerves. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
