My kid went 1 year. They were honest -- the kid struggled as we admittedly were doing too many soccer things -- but they were jerks about it. And once they decided the kid wasn't good enough for THEM, they ignored and spent most of the time catering to players they eventually invited to go to their European camps.

But if your 8-12 its great! It comes at cost but coaches are certainly Dutch pro, former pros, or you youth players and know their stuff.

Two of my sons went to the sleep away camp every year for many years. They both loved it.

My son absolutely loves their Pro Camp in Ellicott City we have done the camp for two years. He plays MLS next. The level of the players in camp is high - they do an application for the camp. The coaches are from Dutch pro youth academies - and are high demand but also have personality.

I was looking at the local one at George Mason this summer. But I wouldn’t be opposed to sending him to a European camp next summer. So thanks for the feedback. I’ll put that on the list.
“Worth it”- higher caliber travel players who want to be there, a few coaching nuggets or insights different from his regular coaches. Coming home having had a fun, challenging day playing soccer.

What does "worth it" mean to you?

You mean in The Netherlands? We have gone and it was very good. Go for the international week otherwise it will be only in Dutch. Also, pick some colleges and go to their ID camps - coaches start recruiting very young and the more they see you, the better chance they will recognize you as you get older.
