It has a lot of parallel stories going at once with the guests and resort workers, so may need a couple episodes to see the emerging themes.

It’s a hoot because it unabashedly contained every social agenda and issue that was out there that year. You’ll see.

I travelled a lot in high end places when I was dating someone who made a lot of money. If you haven't done that, or worked in one of these places, it may not resonate as much with you.

That must be why I’ve seen actors rave over it. They’re used to traveling like this.

I watched season 2 first and really enjoyed it, I agree that for me season 1 started out slower but I ended up liking it too- just not as much as season 2.

Same OP. I couldn’t get into either season.

I watched the first season. It does not get better. Just another high production value (to fool you into thinking it’s good) piece of mindless drivel with unlikeable characters doing/saying ridiculous stuff.

I haaaated it. It just got more and more cringeworthy. And Sidney Sweeney's character was just awful, I hated her. I had to stop.

Agreed, very slow burn. I like Season 2 better though.

+1 I watched season 2 first and loved it so much I stuck through my initial disappointment in season 1. Glad I did, it was great too.

This. Just stick with it. You are supposed to feel their boredom with their lives in the beginning, and then It starts to really go wild. All th
consequences of their actions start piling up. and then by the last episode you feel so invested in the outcome.

Agree the second season is better but I also enjoyed the first.

Just started S1 and am on episode 2. Does this show get good? Thus far I’m finding it so underwhelming relative to all of the chatter. Was this show written for Gen Z? It seems written like it was someone with a cognitive disorder or someone who uses tons of drugs.
