All Crew parents extol it.

It's relatively unique among high school sports. Only a small percentage of public high schools offer it - most high school participants must seek out rowing clubs in order to take part. It's also a sport that is offered only in certain parts of the country (on the east and west coasts, for the most part). It instills a lot of really good habits, such as strength, dedication, and team work, which many sports do. I was just suggesting that participation in a sport like rowing is something that can potentially make someone stand out because it's a sport that isn't quite as mainstream as others.

Some of the girls JV teams are walk on or at least they are for fall sports which is all I know about.

If you're talking about a boy I think Blair has allied co-ed softball in the spring.

Me again. Just talked to my son who does winter track at Blair and he said they make cuts but not as many in spring. It’s a much bigger spring team.

They said at the fall athletic meeting that spring track does make cuts.
