OP is in no danger of “bulking out.” It’s amazing the weird myths people believe. So you have any idea how much and how long you have to lift heavy weights to accomplish this?

I agree that you should not start too heavy—you will know when you need to increase your weights. I find that knowing what other people use is not necessarily helpful. You want to enjoy your workouts and not injure yourself so you can keep going and keep getting stronger.

Yes, you will see results with consistency and you will be gaining health. Don’t get heavier weights just because someone on DCUM tells you to. You only get them when you can handle them. Like a PP said, the weight should be challenging by the end. If you start too heavy you will get hurt. Peloton strength is great- and so easy to stay consistent when you can do it at home. Try Andy’s 60 minute total strength classes or his total strength programs or the hardcore calendar if you are looking for more structure.

You should lift enough that it’s a real challenge to do the last couple reps. It’s been a long time since I did dedicated strength training and I’m currently in week 3 on a peloton 5 day split. I’m mostly using 10-20 (occasionally 25) depending on the exercise. I’d go a little light the first week or two to avoid injury and get used to the exercises but you do need to challenge yourself to get the most of it.

Eh. Maybe a little bit.

It's not nearly enough weight if you want to get strong and look like it.

In theory yes. Eat protein, maintain a minor calorie deficit, lift heavy, build in 2 rest days, get your steps in. If you do this results will follow. But it will still take time.

YES to the question in your subject. I’ll remind you what it is: “will I see results?”

Thank you! I’ll get some 25’s for my leg workouts. I just started so wasn’t sure!

Eating a healthy diet and started incorporating 5x week Peloton strength.
I’m 5’4/135 lbs. Will I see results lifting with 10-15 lb (each arm) for these 30 min classes or do I need heavier weights?
