I found out at Thanksgiving, at an extended relatives, when she pulled me aside about to cry. My Dad had a cold and had begged off so she came alone.
She was about to cry and wasn’t sure she could make it home on the gas in her tank - the gas light had come on, on the way over. So I followed her to a gas station on the way home, showed her how to pay & pump gas and now she’s a pro.

They don’t know how or will not learn. I guess they can always use full serve stations or depend on other people to handle the task.
